Wood Ducks are beautifully ornate in appearance and charming in personality, making them a great choice for any waterfowl collector. These yearlings require a minimum of eight to twelve inches of water. Unlike most ducks, they have a very strong grip and enjoy perching on branches. They sleep on the water but mostly eat on land. Their diet consists of game bird pellets, along with plenty of greens and small insects.
